COURSE OVERVIEW
B.A (Hons) in Professional Filmmaking prepares the new generation of storytellers with the creative and technical skills crucial to step and succeed in today’s film, television and online media industries. Students will develop an understanding of movements in film, style and associated critical analysis skills, as well as a thorough appreciation of contemporary industry practice.
This course builds creative and technical skills essential to succeed in today’s world.
By the end of their degree program, film making students will build a holistic skill set that includes all major aspects of their craft, gain an enormous amount of hands-on experience, and create original work of their own.
WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE?
A team of award-winning filmmakers will take you through their approach to telling stories. You will explore a variety of film production specialisms, from writing and directing to cinematography, editing and composing. Each week your filmmaker host will use examples from their work as well as films that have influenced and inspired them.
This filmmaking course will deepen your understanding of the filmmaking process and show you how to take it further – whether making your own short films, thinking about a career, or simply a deeper appreciation of the films you watch.
MSCPA – B.A. (Hons) In Professional Filmmaking – Three-Year Program is a six-semester, full-time, degree programme. Students will work at a faster pace and with a greater degree of commitment as they acquire new skills and create a body of work.
The curriculum is structured in such a way that students are immersed in all facets of the discipline. MSCPA provides a creative environment in which students are challenged, inspired, and developed through an intensive curriculum. Whether our filmmaking students are new to the industry or are seasoned professionals looking to brush up on their skills, our course will push them to develop new mastery by the end of the year.
INDUSTRY EXPOSURE
MSCPA is a place where classes are taught by award-winning industry professionals, in a real-world environment with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Regular master classes and case studies with Industry veterans are the main highlight of the institute’s academic structure. MSCPA course curriculum undergoes a regular upgradation keeping it par with technological advancement and latest trends in the Industry.
Through internship programmes, students will gain experience working on ‘Real Time Projects’. Students have the opportunity to work on a variety of ‘Ongoing Projects’. Thus, by exposing students to real-world production scenarios and workflows, they will be better prepared to develop a high-quality portfolio and advance in their careers.
