COURSE OVERVIEW
Diploma in Sound Recording & Designing enables students to explore the nature of current sound and music technologies, using the latest digital audio hardware, software and programming packages.
Students will learn topics such as sampling, sequencing, mixing, remixing, signal processing, sound editing and recording, alongside audio programming, internet audio and electronics, ensuring that they will be well equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience expected of today’s professionals.
WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE?
This course is a blend of technology and the creative use of sound in the media. The training in listening and analysis of sound is designed to hone skills needed for critical appraisal of reproduced sounds.
Students will undergo intensive knowledge based learning in sound recording and sound design. The students will have an opportunity to gain comprehensive hands-on experience through original recordings, practical and group exercises and projects with other students.
The department has a combination of digital and analogue equipment with both tape and disk based systems.
MSCPA – Diploma In Sound Recording & Designing (DSRD) – One-Year Program is a two-semester, full-time, non-degree programme based in a conservatory. This means that students will work at a faster pace and with a greater degree of commitment as they acquire new skills and create a body of work.
The curriculum is structured in such a way that students are immersed in all facets of the discipline. MSCPA provides a creative environment in which students are challenged, inspired, and developed through an intensive curriculum. Whether our sound recording & designing students are new to the industry or are seasoned professionals looking to brush up on their skills, our course will push them to develop new mastery by the end of the year.
INDUSTRY EXPOSURE
MSCPA is a place where students can learn from industry professionals. Through internship programmes, Students will gain experience working on ‘Real Time Projects’. Students have the opportunity to work on a variety of ‘Ongoing Projects’. Thus, by exposing students to real-world production scenarios and workflows, they will be better prepared to develop a high-quality portfolio and advance in their careers.

COURSE WORKFLOW
Pre Production
Story Ideation, Storyboarding , Human Anatomy Study , Landscaping , Perspective Drawing, Asset designing - all these are a very important element of game development and animation film making ,hence students are introduced to classical hand-drawing techniques. Light-box, peg punching facilities are available in the lab. Also, the experimental animation and stop motion animation techniques are covered in our curriculum. The required support for these projects are also provided from the lab.
Production and Post Production
Animation and visual effects software equipped Labs allows students to do production and post-production work for their animation films and game assets including character modeling, texturing, animating, rendering, lighting, compositing and Editing for 3D animation and gaming production.
Technical Lab Assistance
All the labs are full time assisted by Technical Lab Assistant for technical and software support. Students are provided a minimum 6 hours of daily practice time in technical labs , All the lectures are conducted at 1:1 students to workstation ratio.
